SALISBURY - Ruth Jeanette Brady Kluttz, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Salisbury.

Born Aug. 22, 1926, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Justin and Annie Reba Trexler Brady. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a member of Gold Hill Wesleyan Church.

A devoted and loyal hard worker, Mrs. Kluttz retired from China Grove Cotton Mill after 20 years of service. Prior to her retirement, she had worked at Cannon Mills for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Reed" Kluttz.

Family members left with cherished memories include her daughters, Carol Drye (James) and Helen Catoe (Glenn Caster); her brother, John Brady; sister Annie Lee Brady; her stepsister, Mary Elizabeth Stoner; her four grandchildren, Robbie Catoe and fiancee Cindy Freeman, Tommy Catoe, Christine Strader (Greg) and Jonathan Drye; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8 from 10-11 a.m. at Gold Hill Wesleyan Church. Funeral services to celebrate and remember the life of Mrs. Kluttz will begin at 11 a.m. in the church, conducted by the Rev. Harold Bumby and the Rev. Eddie McClure. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials: May be made to Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, 830 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, NC.

Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the family.
