SALISBURY - Vivian "Skip" Eagle Eller, 79, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, March 10, 2014, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born Aug. 2, 1934, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Baxter and Ruth Naomi Wensil Eagle. A graduate of Granite High School, Mrs. Eller was a member of Shiloh Reformed Church and had retired as a professional seamstress from Janette Maternity.
A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Eller will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elward Eller, on March 13, 1998; and two sisters, Anna Mae Smith and Velma Badger.
Family members left with cherished memories include her daughter, Jennie Claiborne; her son, Rocky Eller and wife Darlene, both of Salisbury; sisters Lillian Harvell of Salisbury and Sue Ashby and husband Don of New York; her grandchildren, Jason Eller (Carol), Lori Hurlocker (Benji), Matthew Eller, Jennifer Shopmyer (Brian), Roxanna Claiborne and James Claiborne; and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15 at Shiloh Reformed Church, from 1-3 p.m. A memorial celebration service will begin at 3 p.m. in the church, conducted by the Rev. Richard Myers and Rev. Wayne Trexler.
Memorials: May be made to Shiloh Reformed Church, Faith, NC.
