Thelma F. Brantley

KANNAPOLIS - Thelma Fisher Brantley, 90, formerly of Lane Street, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 at CareMoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis.

She was born September 7, 1915 in Rowan County to the late Charles B. Fisher and Lela Brown Fisher. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ where she was very active in all aspects of church activities. She had formerly worked at Cannon Mills Co. Plant #1, Washcloth Department. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Charles Eugene Brantley who died in 1979 and her husband Joseph A. Brantley who died Sept. 25, 1988.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra Schroeder and husband Ken, Rolling Meadows, Ill.; sister Hazel Watson, Danville, Va.; grandchildren Amber Schroeder, Elk Grove Village, Ill., Don Schroeder, Chicago, Ill., Bobbie Hudson, Kannapolis, Marie Ramseur, Kannapolis, Lisa Propst, Bolivia, N.C., Jimmy Brantley, Landis; great grandchildren Alisha Ramseur, Matthew Hudson, Nick Hudson, Hunter Brantley, all of Kannapolis, Jared Ramseur, Landis, Jimmy Propst, Bolivia; great great grandchildren Breanna, Makalyn and Jaden Ramseur all of Landis.

Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ with Dr. Warren Casidy and Rev. Jimmy Norred officiating.

Visitation: 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. At other times the family will be at the home of Jimmy Brantley, 320 Turner Street, Kannapolis.
