Sunday, December 4, 2011 — Pearl Dick, age 89, passed away, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Lake Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indian Trail.

The graveside service for Mrs. Dick will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Arnold Kessler officiating.

Born July 25, 1922 in Stanly County, Mrs. Dick was the daughter of the late Millard Thomas Tucker and Minnie Frankie Burris Tucker Simpson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Columbus Dick, in 1988; two sisters, Maybelle Smith, and Frances Ward.

Mrs. Dick is survived by one son, John Charles Dick and wife Cathy of Shelby; two daughters, Frankie Royster of Indian Trail and Katherine Woodell and husband Kit of Mint Hill; one brother, Tommy Tucker of Oakboro; four sisters, Christine McCall of Red Cross, Hazel Helms of Oakboro, Violet Hinson and husband J. D. of Red Cross and Carrie Lee Walker of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association Carolina Piedmont Chapter, Charlotte, NC; or Whisper of Hope Ministries, Charlotte, NC.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Dick family.
