Ramelle Trexler Calloway
Ramelle Trexler Calloway, 83, Charlotte, formerly of Salisbury, died Thursday (Nov. 11, 2004) at Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville.
Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Stanly County, Mrs. Calloway, a daughter of the late Martin Luther and Ola Mae Talbert Hinson, was educated in the Stanly County schools. She retired from Cannon Mills and Cartex Mills.
A former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, she was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, Albemarle.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence A. Trexler, and second husband, Nelson Calloway.
Survivors include son Lanny Trexler, Charlotte; and sisters Betty London and Ruby Herring, both of Albemarle.
Services: Graveside, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church cemetery conducted by the Rev. Gary Coble.
Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
