ROCKWELL - Hessie Goodman Beaver, 84, formerly of Old Salisbury-Concord Road, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Genesis Eldercare of Salisbury.
Born July 12, 1922 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Ada Fraley Goodman. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. Formerly employed by Rowan Industries, she retired from Terry Products, Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis Beaver Sr. on Nov. 21, 1984.
Survivors include son, Charles Lewis Beaver Jr. (Sheena) of Kannapolis; daughter, Nancy Beaver Brizendine of Rockwell; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion United Church of Christ conducted by the Rev. William Campbell, pastor. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation: 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. The remainder of the time, the family will be at the home of Charles and Sheena Beaver.
Memorials: May be made to Mount Zion United Church of Christ P.O. Box 1298 China Grove, NC 28023.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove is assisting the Beaver family in making arrangements for their loved one.
