Notes for Thomas “Bud” Moose
Thomas “Bud” Moose

Our dear Bud Moose has gone to his heavenly home, Sunday January 7th surrounded by his children at his home on High Rock Lake.

Bud was a staple in the community, graduating in 1960 as the class favorite from East Rowan High School. He was best known for his love for his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, plumbing and always arriving fashionably late, on “Moose time”.

He was a beloved coach at Salisbury Rowan gray basketball Rockwell Wranglers, Rockwell Razorbacks football and Rockwell Rebels. He loved his time working at Nazareth Children’s Home and shagging at SOS. He served his country in the Army Reserve. He was a member of Keller Masonic Lodge, Charlotte Oasis Temple and Rowan County Shrine Club.

He was proceeded in death by parents Arthur (Beulah) Moose and Medy Tysinger, Brother, Bill Moose, sisters Ramell and Maxine. He is survived by brother Check (Linda) Moose , children Lisa (Marc) Hardiman, Jeff (Brooke) Moose, Tara (John) Sigmon. Step daughter Lori (Brad) Queener. Grandchildren Kayla (Cole) Hendrix, Brooke (Chase) Hardiman, Brinklee Hardiman, Emma Moose, Cooper Moose, Graycen and Tristen Queener. Great grandchildren Danielle Hendrix and Elle Walls and life long best friends Randy and Sue Goodman.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations made in Bud’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children of America.
