Mattie Ruth Page Miller, 92, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.
Mattie was born January 26, 1929 in North Carolina to the late William Page and the late Bessie Efird Page.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Mavon Reece Miller, and daughter, Mattie Diane Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service will follow at 12:00 pm at Oakboro Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde. Burial will immediately follow.
Survivors include grandson, Steven (Mandy) Taylor, granddaughters, Tanya Taylor and Tammy Ricketts, great-grandchildren, Mylia Taylor, Myranda Ricketts, Alston Taylor, and Bryson Taylor.
Mattie lived a wonderful, long life; she was a wonderful person, and feisty. Mattie enjoyed working in the garden, especially on her tomato plants. She worked at Albemarle Spinning and farmed for most of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home on behalf of the Miller family to assist with funeral expenses.
