Shelby Jean Burwell Ritchie, 81, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at her home in Salisbury, NC.
She was born June 19, 1939 in Cabarrus County to the late Fred and Mary Kluttz Burwell. Shelby was a member of Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith. Shelby loved to travel with her husband, she enjoyed gardening and flowers, and loved spending time at the beach and the lake with her family.
In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Seay Ritchie, and brother, Larry Burwell.
Shelby is survived by her daughters, Cindi Stevens and husband Bobby of Salisbury, and Luann Fesperman and husband Gary of Salisbury; son, Jay Seay Ritchie, Jr, of Salisbury; granddaughters, Brittin Cox and husband Dustin of Asheville, Adrian Staton and husband Matt of Rockwell, Mikel Ann Mason and husband Chris of Weddington, Whitley Jordan and husband Ryne of Goldsboro; grandsons, Ritchie Fesperman of Durham, and Jase Ritchie of Alexandria; great-granddaughters, Kenzie, Camryn,and Vera; great-grandsons, Eli, Levi, Smith, and Boden.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Shiloh Reformed Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Myers, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith PO Box 398, Faith, NC.
