Robert Cleveland Shaver, 68, of Albemarle, NC passed away Sunday March 19, 2017 in his home. His funeral service will be at 4 PM Friday March 24 at Coyle Baptist Church in Stanfield, NC with Rev. Franklin Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 4 PM at the church. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Born April 6, 1948 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Worth McKenzie Shaver and Martha Sue Barringer Shaver.
Robert was a member of Coyle Baptist Church and loved listening and singing gospel music. He enjoyed going out walking and most would recognize him as “Elvis.”
Mr. Shaver is survived by his daughters Sherry Blalock and husband Al, Tracie Sanders and husband David, son Robert C. Shaver, Jr. and wife Holly all of Albemarle. Other survivors include one brother Glenn McKenzie Shaver of Jacksonville, FL, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care to the Robert Shaver account.
