Ruth Miller Leazer
ROCKWELL - Mrs. Ruth Miller Leazer, 93, of Rockwell passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at the Liberty Commons Nursing Home.
Born March 23, 1916, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Luther A. Miller and Ida Evan Lyerly Miller.
She was educated in the Rowan County Schools, and had worked for Cannon Mills in the spinner room at the Rockwell plant for 36 years. Mrs. Leazer was also a life member of the St. James Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Clinton Leazer whom died Jan. 16, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Shirley L. Corriher and husband Bill of Rockwell and Mrs. Brenda L. Honeycutt of Salisbury; five grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
Service and Burial: The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Craig Sigmon, Pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, with burial in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Powles Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Building Fund, Rockwell, NC.
