Sion’s will is dated 30 Oct 1885. He was a resident of Stanly County. William R. Hartsell is named executor. Sion left one cow and calf, a bed and furniture, two hogs, and all his kitchen furniture and utensils to his daughter, Mary Frances. After sale of the remainder of his estate and payment of all expenses, any remaining funds were to go to Mary Frances.
