Mary Grace Miller Reid
ROCKWELL - Mary Miller Reid, 89, of Rockwell, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.
Born October 6, 1917, in Rowan County, Mrs. Reid was a daughter of the late Lizzie Gray Miller and the late John Miller. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a farmer and homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Rockwell.
Preceding her in death was husband Clifford William Reid who died January 5, 1992.
Surviving are sons William C. Reid and wife Sherry of Rockwell, Charles Reid and wife Shirley of Rockwell, Billie Reid of Rockwell, Larry Reid and wife Cathy of Florida, Harry Reid and wife Judy of Kannapolis, and daughter Betty Goodrich and husband Robin of Rockwell. Also surviving are sister Annie Swinson of Rockwell, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Service: 4 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. John Houghton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Reid will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight at Lyerly Funeral Home.
