SALISBURY - Enos Roy Goodman, 93, of Salisbury, died Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2005)at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

Mr. Goodman was born June 26, 1912, in Rowan County, a son of the late Bennett F. and Mary Morgan Goodman. He was a 1932 graduate of Mitchell Home School (now Pfeiffer University). Early in life, he was very active at Liberty United Methodist Church. Later he became very active at First United Methodist Church in Salisbury and was the chief usher for 19 years. Mr. Goodman worked on the farm and in 1935 started working at Salisbury Hardware. He then worked with the State Highway Department, then at Southern Implement, and finally was a mechanic for the City of Salisbury. He retired in 1977. Mr. Goodman was a veteran, serving during World War II with Coast Artillery.

He was preceded in death by son Larry W. Goodman on Feb. 15, 2000, and his wife, Lula Wyatt Goodman, on March 7, 2002.

Survivors include brother Leo F. Goodman of Salisbury; sister Eunice Holmes of Salisbury; and nieces and nephews.

Service : A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Thomas Griffis, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Salisbury. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Salisbury conducted by the Rev. Thomas Griffis.
