Carra Madge Simpson
MIDLAND - Carra Madge Page Simpson, 94, surrounded by loved ones, passed peacefully to the Lord at her home, Sept. 2, 2009.
Mrs. Simpson was born July 30, 1915, the daughter of the late, Adam and Bessie Hagler Page. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland and had been employed as a weaver in textiles.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, LW Rush, second husband, Everette Howard and third husband, Vander S. Simpson.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Walter Rush and wife Brenda of Locust; daughters, Madge Tucker and husband, Lane, of Oakboro and Teresa Barbee and husband, Bill, of Locust; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and other extended family.
The family expresses special thanks to Diana Coble, her caregiver, and Jenn and Janet of Hospice.
The family funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Midland with the Rev. Thomas Gibbs officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County.
