GRANITE QUARRY - Mr. Jehu Gaither, 91, of 403 Peeler St. died Monday, Nov. 6, 1995, at the Brian Center Nursing Care of Salisbury, after being in declining health for 4 years.

Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. today at the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry, by the Rev. Dr. Kay W. Gottula, Pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.

Born July 23, 1904 in Guilford County he was the son of the late William Henry and Sophia Isabelle Grater Gaither. He was educated in the Iredell County Schools, was an agent for Durham Life Insurance Co. for many years and retired in 1966. He was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, where he taught the Mens Bible Class and was a charter member of the Granite Quarry Civitan Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Frick Gaither who he married April 1, 1928; sons, Wallace C. Gaither of Granite Quarry, Lawrence J. Gaither of Greensboro; daughters, Mrs. Lillian G. Bruce of Greensboro, Mrs. Diane G. Bassinger of Hampton, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
