Annie Geraldine (Gerry) Frick

SALISBURY - Mrs. Annie Geraldine Maness Frick, 78, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.

Mrs. Frick was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Rowan County to the late Quincey Adams and Georgia Janette Maness. She was educated in Salisbury City Schools. She had worked with her husband at Frick Furniture and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Frick was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, where she taught Children's Sunday School, was choir director for many years and was active in the Women's Fellowship.

She loved her family, visiting the beach, playing bridge, playing the organ, and her Westies.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frick was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Norman Grey Frick, who passed away Nov. 18, 2006; and a son, Jeffrey Grey Frick, who passed away March 28, 1955.

She is survived by her children, Christina Whitaker and fiancee Tom Loughlin of Jamestown, Tad Frick and wife Georgia of Salisbury, Roger Frick and wife Avis of Salisbury and Andy Frick and wife Machelle of Rockwell; one sister, Alberta Cinquemani of Gold Hill; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Powles Funeral Home.

Service: The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Salisbury, conducted by Rev. Anna Mandlestomm. Burial will follow at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
