Harold George Lupberger of St. James, Mo. passed away at the St. James Golden Living Center in St. James, Mo. on Monday, September 10, 2012. Harold Lupberger was 93 years, 4 months and 13 days of age.

Harold Lupberger was born on April 28, 1919 to his parents: William Karl and Helen Paula (Meuschke) Lupberger in Dillon, Mo.

Harold Lupberger was a loving husband for 69 years; and father; grandfather and great-grandfather. Harold was a lifelong resident of Phelps County and a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in St. James.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 69 years: Daphne (Snelson) Lupberger of St. James, Mo.; four daughters: Linda Whitaker and husband Rodney of Mason, Ohio; Marian Chrisman and husband George of Allen, Texas; Judy Thompson and husband Bill of St. Louis, Mo.; and Tina Wright and husband Len of Norfolk, Va.; and one son: David Lupberger and wife Nancy of Lebanon, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and two great grandsons. He also mentioned his boyhood freindship with Al Campbell.

Harold Lupberger is preceded in death by his parents: William Karl and Helen Paula (Meuschke) Lupberger.

Visitation for Harold Lupberger will be on Wednesday, September 12 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, September 13th at 10 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church in St. James, Mo. with Dr. David Peter officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Chrisman; Christopher Whitaker; Josh Lupberger; Chris Mueller; Ken Burch; and Shawn Steen. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Cancer Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
