Frederick died at the home of his son, Rev. Michael Miller.

In 1788 Wendel deeded Frederick 236 acres on Rocky Run Branch of Second Dutch Creek.

Windle Miller and wf Christina (V) to Frederick Miller for £50, 235 A on both sides of Rockey Run of Second Dutch Crk adj. Josse Phillips, Thomas Phillips, this grantor, and John Van Poole.

In 1793 Michael Braun deeded Frederick 538 acres on Crane Creek. In 1806 they moved to Jefferstown, Jefferson Co, KY and were members of Christ Lutheran Church there.

Frederick served as a private and wagonmaster in Capt. George Henry Berger's Co., Col. Griffith Rutherford's 1st Reg., Rowan County Militia and took part in the Battle of Moore's Creek 28 Feb 1776. They then traveled through NC and SC and took part in the Battle of Ninety-Six. Later he served under the same officers and marched from Salisbury to Fayetteville in pursuit of Tories. For three months in 1781 Col. Berger and Capt. Wendel Miller led a company including Frederick through NC in pursuit of Tories and in defense of those friendly to the country. For another three month tour, Frederick was in Capt. David Boyer's Co., Lt. Locke's Reg. as they joined Col. Boyd from Virginia and Col. Isaac of NC and marched to Cox's Mill on Deep River in pursuit of Tories. His final tour was with Capt. Berger in pursuit of Cherokee Indians. [WENDEL MILLER AND HIS DESCENDANTS, 1985]

On 7 Aug 1781 Frederick was ordered to serve as Constable in Rowan County.
