Notes for Jacob Miller
Antioch Baptist Church, on a ridge just above Riles Creek, is about 1.5 miles from hwy 49 on Stokes Ferry Road. The Jacob Miller Family Cemetery is over the hill in the woods behind the church. There is nothing at the church or its cemetery to indicate the existence of the old Miller Cemetery, but it has been fenced and markers were erected in 1983.

It is not known why Wendel omitted Jacob as a beneficiary in his will. However, Wendel sold Jacob a tract on Royals Creek on 15 Nov 1796. THE TRANSFER OF THIS LAND HAS BEEN THE ONLY WAY OF TYING JACOB TO THIS MILLER FAMILY.

The children of both Jacob’s wives were born while their parents were members of Organ Lutheran Church, and the baptismal records are recorded there.

Jacob's will, dated 9 Dec 1838 and probated Nov 1842, lists grandson John Daniel Shaver.
